Mr. Williams's practice is focused on all areas of business and employment litigation (trial and appellate) and bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters. He has significant experience:
• representing clients in business litigation in state and federal courts (plaintiffs and defendants)
• representing employers and employees in employment-related litigation, including sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and discrimination litigation
• defending clients who have been sued for alleged violations of the state and federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Acts and/or the Fair Credit Reporting Act
• defending clients who have been sued in bankruptcy court for receiving alleged preferences and/or fraudulent transfers
• prosecuting and opposing appeals in state and federal court (including writs)
• prosecuting nondischargeability cases against debtors in bankruptcy
• representing creditors (secured and unsecured) in bankruptcy cases, including claims litigation.
Mr. Williams also has significant experience representing chapter 11 debtors in all aspects of the chapter 11 reorganization process; representing chapter 7 trustees and bankruptcy estate managers; and representing buyers in transactions involving the purchase of assets from bankruptcy estates.
