Ms. Ginex-Orinion's practice is primarily dedicated to business litigation, including complex business litigation, in which she has defended companies in securities class actions, labor and employment class actions, ERISA actions, and False Claims Act actions. She has also worked on a wide variety of general business litigation matters, including those alleging breach of contract, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, fraud, and unfair business practices, in a various fields including real estate, healthcare, and energy.
While practicing at Gibson Dunn, and in conjunction with Orange County's Public Law Center, Ms. Ginex-Orinion led a team of lawyers in pursuing a pro bono matter on behalf of multiple low-income tenants living in a dilapidated 20-unit apartment building in Santa Ana. Ms. Ginex-Orinion and her team obtained significant victories on behalf of the tenants, including the application of an effective, rarely used procedure – the appointment of a health and safety code receiver to take over control of the property. In early 2007, Ms. Ginex-Orinion received Gibson Dunn's prestigious Frank Wheat Memorial Award and was also recognized by the American Jewish Committee as an "Emerging Leader" for her pro bono work.
